Want to get healthy this year? Smart supplementation can dramatically improve your health with very little time cost.
When January hits, getting healthier is one of the first things on people's minds. That means eating better, exercising, and (sometimes) taking vitamins to help improve nutrition.
But which vitamins should you take?
Which supplements will have the biggest impact on your health and your ability to get healthier?
In my opinion, starting with a multivitamin to cover your nutritional bases is the first place I'd start. Second, whether you're just starting back into exercising or you're experienced, joint support is going to help you get active and stay active without running into joint problems.
Below, I'll share my experiences with First Day supplements that I tested out—their multivitamin for men and their joint support product.
First Day Men's Daily Provisions Gummy Multivitamin Review
A good multivitamin is ALWAYS the first supplement I recommend people start out with when they're trying to improve their health. It's extremely difficult to get optimal levels of a wide spectrum of nutrients from food alone.
It's important to note that a supplement is a supplement...it's not intended to replace good nutrition.
It's just that it's VERY tough, as I mentioned, to actually get enough nutrients through food alone.
That's where the First Day multivitamin comes in.
It's in "gummy" form, meaning it's extremely easy to take (really tasty) and it's much more absorbable than a compacted tablet. You're going to get the nutrients you're expecting, which is why you're taking the stuff!

Here's the back of the bottle to show you the full list of ingredients and nutrients.
This multivitamin has a good selection of nutrients in it, covering a solid spectrum, with high-quality forms of each (this can be an issue with cheap supplements—cheaper forms, such as magnesium oxide as an example, are not absorbable or always tolerated well).
I was glad to see they didn't include calcium in the formula as most people actually get enough of it in food (via dairy, etc.) while not getting enough magnesium or zinc.
I wouldn't mind a bit higher levels of a few of the water-soluble vitamins, such as the B vitamins, but the levels are definitely enough for you to notice a difference if you don't really take anything now.
First Day has done a nice job formulating this product and the gummy "medium" is all organic, which is great.

Here's what each gummy looks like.

They're really tasty...you'll look forward to taking these.
One more factor that I think is important is packaging...the bottle is meant to be a keeper. When you order more, you can order just the gummies in very minimal packaging, which you then put into the original bottle.
I love that idea...it's a great way to minimize waste while getting your vitamins.
First Day Daily Flex Joint Support Review
One of the most neglected aspects of nutrition is joint support.
Most people don't even think about it until their joints start hurting! And then they pop pain relievers to help with the discomfort, which only masks the symptoms without addressing the root problem...not enough joint-specific nutrients available for your body to repair and rebuild connective tissue.
Joint Support gives you the best of both worlds, though.

It contains turmeric and boswellia to help minimize joint discomfort and inflammation along with glucosamine and MSM to give your body the raw materials to help with joint recovery.
One ingredient that I think could be included would be a good form of Vitamin C, which is critical for collagen formation (collagen is what connective tissue is made of). It's not a dealbreaker, though, and Vitamin C is in their multivitamin.

Overall, I found this to be an excellent blend of ingredients and in enough quantity per serving to actually have an effect (this is important).
If you're just starting back into exercise (or just starting, period), giving your body some joint support nutrients like this is going to go a long way toward keeping you on track and making progress toward your health and fitness goals (it's hard to exercise when your joints are sore!).
The Bottom Line:
First Day has done a really nice job with their products. Their primary line is an array of multivitamins for men, women, teens, and kids, all in gummy form.
I like their formulas and it's absolutely worth giving their products a try.
